Stages of Leather Upholstery Restoration
- Preparation of the Leather for Restoration
The first step is thoroughly cleaning the leather upholstery. We use specialized cleaning agents to remove dirt, grease, and old protective layers. Next, we assess the leather’s condition to identify damage such as cracks, abrasions, or discoloration. If needed, we apply leather fillers to smooth the surface and prepare it for the subsequent steps. - Leather Painting
Once prepared, the leather is ready for painting. We use high-quality leather dyes that are durable and flexible to prevent cracking or peeling. The painting process involves applying several layers to achieve a uniform color and a deep, natural appearance. This may include hand application or the use of spray guns for even coverage. - Protection
The final step is applying special protective coatings to the leather. These coatings shield the leather from UV rays, moisture, and everyday wear. We use polymer or wax-based products that create an invisible barrier, extending the leather’s lifespan while maintaining its natural look and softness.
